Service Manager - Perrys Citroen, Mazda & Vauxhall Barnsley

Perrys is one of the UK’s largest car dealership groups, operating since 1908 with over 50 branches nationwide. We’re an official franchised dealer for many of the country’s top car and commercial vehicle brands, including Ford, Kia, Mazda, and Vauxhall.
Service Manager Duties
• Oversee the daily operations of the Service Department and Workshop, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team—including Technicians, Service Advisors, and support staff—to consistently achieve targets and maintain high performance
• Ensure adherence to company and manufacturer processes, maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and warranty standards
• Manage workflow and productivity in the workshop, utilizing KPIs to monitor performance and optimize resource allocation
• Collaborate directly with the Senior Management Team, reporting on departmental performance and contributing to strategic decisions
Key Requirements
• Proven experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within the motor trade or dealership environment
• Excellent understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, workshop processes, and warranty procedures
• Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems and warranty processing software.
• Full UK driving licence
• Background in either a volume or prestige automotive setting
